DR. Beverly P. Gordon

Beverly P. Gordon PSY.D., M.A., BSc., LPC, RN

Biographical Data

Dr. Gordon earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University, her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University, and her bachelor’s degree in Nursing Education from Northern Caribbean University (formerly West Indies College). She has held various positions in Nursing, Behavioral Health and Higher education. She has a passion for enriching the lives of others. Her rich background of multicultural exposure in her personal and professional life has translated into a delight and enthusiasm for working with people from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds. In addition to her work as a clinician and educator, Dr. Gordon is actively involved in volunteer outreach projects and organizations that address capacity building and promote social change in the United States and Jamaica. She is also a lay preacher and active member of her Faith community.

Dr. Gordon is a member of several professional organizations including American Counseling Association, American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, National Council for Family Relationships, American Nurses Association. She has presented at various conferences in the United States, Canada, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, She has authored and co-authored articles for professional journals such as the International Humanities Review and International Perspectives on psychology. Dr. Gordon has also authored devotionals for the Women’s Devotional published by Pacific Press Publishing Association, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2020, 2021.

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, knitting, writing, word games, and travelling.
